Voluntary Awards Presented By Christine Nichols
The Basildon Council Voluntary Awards took place in the Towngate Theatre in Basildon this week (28th Feb) and were proudly sponsored by Atlantic Pacific Group’s Unity In Community.
The winner of the Voluntary Group/Project of the Year Award ‘Holy Trinity Vaccination Centre was announced and presented by Christine Nichols and Mayor of Basildon, Luke Mackenzie, pictured below with Tony Cottee, Unity In Community’s patron.
The Holy Trinity team of over 50 volunteers gave 12,271 hours of volunteering, administering over 125,000 covid vaccinations to people from 5 years old to 106!
These volunteers came from every walk of life, from Financial Services, Famous Actors, Cake Makers, Pastors, Business Owners, Directors, CEO’s, Airport Security, Doctors, Nurses, retired Firefighters and St.John’s Ambulance volunteers.
Congratulations to everyone who volunteered at Holy Trinity Vaccination Centre, the runners up Castledon Sixth Form – Wat Tyler Volunteers. And well done to all the team at Basildon Council for organising a great award evening to celebrate these special people.
