London Freight Club Supporting Charity
The London Freight Club (LFC) was formed in 1953 and has been organising events with guest speakers for its members since its inception. The lunches have always raised money for charitable causes and over the years have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The LFC was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Global Freight Awards in London in 2017 and two former Chairman have been awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards by the British International Freight Association for their work with the club. The club is presently supporting Barnadoes, Macmillan Cancer Support, Orchid (a prostrate cancer charity) and The British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
After becoming the first women to become a member of (LFC) Chrissy Nichols, Director of Atlantic Pacific and Chairwomen of Unity in Community was elected Vice Chairwomen of the LFC (another first for a women) in February 2022.
Atlantic Pacific have been attending the fundraising lunches at the London Freight Club for over 20 years. Ashley Nichols, Managing Director of Atlantic Pacific Group is also a former Chairman and one of the groups companies, Port Express Ltd is a corporate sponsor.
