In The Swing For Breast Cancer
An enthusiastic team from Unity’s Atlantic Pacific participated in the ONE (Ocean Network Express) golf day this week to help support and raise awareness of breast cancer during ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’.
Atlantic Pacific’s Dave Hill, Jay Beard and Thomas Wilats competed in the event, while Julie Curran and Jayne Wakering attended the evening’s festivities and auction.
We also sponsored a number of holes and auction prizes to help raise funds for this fantastic charitable day, which was also attended by Unity patron Tony Cottee.
ONE have partnered with BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) and the golf day is part of an ongoing program to help raise funds for this worthy cause.
One in seven women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and every year, about 55,000 women are diagnosed with the disease in the UK. The cancer is more common in women who are aged 50 and over, but can affect men too.
