Herd In The City Provides £3.3M Boost To Southend

SOUTHEND was given a £3.3million economic boost by last summer’s Herd In The City art trail after attracting more than 90,000 visitors, according to recent reports.

The initiative, which included Atlantic Pacific Group sponsorship, also raised £580,000 for Havens Hospices which was the ultimate aim.

The charity, which provides specialist care for adults and children with incurable conditions, shared the findings from their recent evaluation survey which outlined the huge economic and social benefits for Southend.

In a survey it conducted, 98 percent of people rated their Herd In The City experience as excellent or good, and 89 percent felt it brought a sense of community to the area.

Atlantic Pacific Group were not only sponsors of our own elephant for the event, but we were logistics partners for the entire initiative. Our team worked tirelessly through the night to deliver and recover 118 elephant statues, which brightened up the city for a few weeks last September.

Below are some of the images from the fantastic event.
