Elle The Elephant’s Packed Her Trunk…

The Atlantic Pacific Group elephant from Herd-in-the-City – ‘Where’s Elle’ – packed her trunk this week and said goodbye to The Royals Shopping Centre.

As soon as she finished her stint at Selfie On Sea, raising funds for Lady McAdden’s Breast Cancer, she was delivered to Friars Primary School and Nursery in Shoeburyness, Essex.

Elle’s arrival created a lot of excitement and did disrupt the normal school morning last Thursday, but it’s not every day the children get to see a giant pink pachyderm on their way to school.

Elle is currently positioned in the middle of the school, where the infant and junior schools meet. This means that every child in nursery, reception, and year one, will be met by Elle’s smiling face on their way to the lunch hall.

Elle also formed the central attraction of the school’s book sale as part of their Christmas fair last week.

The school’s headmaster and deputy-head were very thankful for the opportunity to host Elle and have agreed to send us some images as the children start to interact with her.
