Chrissy Presents Volunteer Award At Food Bank
Unity In Community Executive Chairwoman – Christine Nichols – finally caught up with one of the winners of Basildon Council’s Volunteer Awards last week, when she met Emma Bunce at the Billericay Food Bank where Ella volunteers.
Atlantic Pacific Group were proud sponsors of the Volunteer Awards in February, and Chrissy was only able to present the runner-up award in the ‘Young Volunteer of the Year Award’ category, as Ella was unable to attend the award ceremony on the night.
The annual awards, held at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon, recognise and celebrate the amazing achievements and contributions that volunteers make across the borough.
The Young Volunteer Award category was extremely well contested with 18 finalists making the judging particular difficult, which makes Ella’s achievement even more remarkable.
Along with Ella, Chrissy met with others from the fantastic Billericay Food Bank team last week and discussed the important work they all do for their local community. Atlantic Pacific were also pleased to make a donation to the Food Bank to help them continue their great work.
Well done to Ella and all her colleagues, and thank you also to Jenny Squibb from Basildon Council for all she does for the local community.
