Sponsors & Logistics Partners for ‘Waddle On Sea’ – Summer 2025.
Atlantic Pacific Group are the logistics partners and sponsors of ‘Waddle On Sea’, a fantastic fundraising event for Havens Hospices in Summer 2025. A huddle of over one hundred beautifully painted penguin and baby penguin statues waddled into town on July 14th and will be nestled amongst the iconic landmarks of Southend-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea until September 4th.
Penguins are caring and compassionate by nature, the perfect symbol of Havens Hospices’ values and Care Teams who work tirelessly to make every day count for every patient and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Waddle-On-Sea follows on from the successful 2023 ‘Herd In The City’ event and ‘Hares About Town’ from 2021, which have collectively raised over one million pounds for this very worthy cause.

Our Penguin – Sunny Southpole-on-Sea
We have once again teamed up with local artist Neil Fendell, who previously designed our popular hare sculpture for the Hares About Town trail in 2021. This year’s creation – titled ‘Sunny Southpole-on-Sea’ – brings the spirit of Southend alive in penguin form, showcasing colorful scenes and landmarks from around the town.
Haven’s Hospices
Havens Hospices is very close to our hearts. They provide palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, their hospices remained open to care for patients at the end of their life and they supported the NHS by taking patients in from hospitals to free up beds.
Haven’s must raise over £81,000 each week to be there for everyone who needs them. Funding has become more difficult during the pandemic, therefore the Hare’s About Town project is an important part of this year’s fund-raising.
Penguin Patrol
Atlantic Pacific proudly played a key role in launching Southend-on-Sea’s exciting summer art trail, Waddle-On-Sea, as both sponsors and logistics partners.
After delivering the penguions to artists around Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, the team worked through the night on July 10th/11th to install the trail’s iconic penguin sculptures across Leigh-on-Sea and Southend-on-Sea, ensuring everything was perfectly in place for the launch.
