Unity In Community Supporting Mid & South Essex Hospitals

Unity In Community Executive Chairwoman – Christine Nichols – paid a special visit to Mid & South Essex Hospitals Charity yesterday for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, where she met with Lucy Thomas-Clayton to donate a generous collection of toys for children’s wards in Southend, Basildon and Chelmsford hospitals.

The donation will help brighten the days of young patients receiving care across the three sites. Mid & South Essex Hospitals Charity works tirelessly to enhance patient experience beyond what NHS funding alone can provide, supporting projects, equipment and comforts that make hospital stays easier for patients and their families. Contributions such as these toys bring moments of joy and reassurance to children during what can often be a difficult time.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Elise Fleetwood and Nigel Folkard, Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, along with Richard Linden and Sarah-Jane Page, who helped source and donate the toys. Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics kindly provided transportation, ensuring the gifts reached the wards in time to make a meaningful difference.
