Overnight Penguin Installations To Support ‘Waddle-On-Sea’
Unity In Community’s Atlantic Pacific Group proudly played a key role in launching Southend-on-Sea’s exciting summer art trail, Waddle-On-Sea, which officially opened this week and runs through September 3rd.
As both sponsors and logistics partners, the team worked through the night on Thursday to install the trail’s iconic penguin sculptures across Leigh-on-Sea and Southend-on-Sea, ensuring everything was perfectly in place for the launch.
The vibrant public art trail features 31 large penguin sculptures and 72 baby penguins, all uniquely designed by artists. While they may look lively, these penguins needed a helping hand to travel.
Atlantic Pacific Group transported them to artists across Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk for painting, before collecting them for storage, and finally delivering and installing them at their trail locations Thursday night.
The event offers a fun and free experience for families, with interactive maps helping visitors explore each penguin on the trail. Each large sculpture has been generously sponsored by local businesses and will be auctioned off at the end of the summer to raise funds for Havens Hospices, a local charity providing vital care for individuals with complex or incurable conditions.
Atlantic Pacific Group is proud to once again support such a meaningful cause and provide the logistics as one of our contributions to what promises to be a memorable and impactful community event.
