Unity In Community’s Executive Chairwoman – Chrissy Nichols – has taken over as Chair of Trustees for Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust, replacing Alan Kirkman who is stepping down after a nine year tenure.
Under Alan’s guidance, Lady McAdden expanded its services, grew in size, and strengthened its impact in supporting women and their families through breast cancer education and care.
Chrissy has been heavily involved with the charity for some time as a trustee, and has already played a key part in the success of numerous fundraising initiatives both personally and with the support of the Unity In Community foundation.
Chrissy said: “I am delighted and honoured to accept the role as Chair for the charity.
“I got involved with the charity because I am a breast cancer survivor myself and recognise what amazing work the charity were doing with their education programmes on how to check properly, what signs to look for and their message that finding breast cancer early can save your life.
“If we can help save just one life then it’s worth it. My team and I are working hard to expand their service support and have some very exciting ideas for the charity’s future.”
The Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust remains committed to its mission of promoting breast health and ensuring early detection saves lives as it moves into a new chapter. For more information on the fantastic work they do visit https://ladymcadden.org/.
