Charity-Driven Lunch Raises Funds for Breast Cancer
Unity In Community Executive Chairwoman Christine Nichols was delighted to help host a fantastic charity led Ascot Ladies Day lunch at The Boatyard in Leigh-on-Sea last week.
Acting in her role as Chairwomen of the Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust, Christine helped arrange the event, with the purpose being to drink bubbles, have fun and do a little bit of fun betting whilst raising money for the fabulous charity.
The weather was perfect, the venue and food wonderful and it was fabulous to see so much glamour in the room.
The fabulous team includes three nurses and we all work together to support men and women diagnosed with breast cancer before, during and after treatment – yes men can get breast cancer too !
The charity actively works with corporate companies, social and sports clubs, and schools, to provide knowledge on how to check for signs properly.
Lady Mcadden has a new sanctuary being launched in September and a new campaign coming out shortly aimed at men – so watch this space.
